“We exist to see God glorified and disciples multiplied through the power of the Gospel."
Horicon Baptist Church seeks to train young men and women for ministry through personal discipleship and through opportunities to serve in our church. We are located 7.5 miles (or a ten-minute car ride) from Word of Life. We are positioned in a community that is in desperate need of Gospel witness. Warren County has 65,000 people in it, but only 4% of residents consider themselves Evangelical. Most residents (65%) hold no religious affiliation. Brant Lake used to have five churches, but today HBC is the last remaining church.

Why do we make such a big deal about church membership?
|
The pastoral intern will be focused on two key characteristics: Character, and Competency. To achieve this, they will work alongside the Pastor and deacons to gain experience in pastoral ministry and help to provide leadership in particular areas of ministry in the church. Developing character and competency in pastoral ministry will happen by meeting regularly with the Senior Pastor and serving the church through teaching/preaching opportunities.

A formal pastoral intern, Jack Hilsher, preaching on Psalm 3.
