About Our Curriculum
We are currently using the Praise Factory curriculum Deep Down Detectives developed by Connie Dever and in partnership with 9 Marks. This Bible-based, doctrinally-rich curriculum is designed to teach children foundational truths about God through songs, stories, catechism questions, and hands-on activities. Unit 9: What Did Jesus Come to Do?
In our current unit of HBC Kids, we’re answering one big question: What did Jesus come to do?
Our goal is to help children not just hear about Jesus, but begin to understand why He came—and why it matters for them. Through joyful songs, motions, Bible truths, and simple teaching tools, we’re showing them the heart of God’s rescue plan.
This unit highlights six key truths about Jesus that help children see the Gospel more clearly:

This unit highlights six key truths about Jesus that help children see the Gospel more clearly:
- He left His home in heaven to save us.
- He never, ever disobeyed God.
- He taught about God and did amazing things.
- He died on the cross for the sins of God’s people.
- He rose from the dead.
- He went up to rule in heaven.
